KAY H. DEBERRY

Kay Elizabeth Harris DeBerry, 58, of the 1500 block of Leckie St., died Aug. 3, 1997, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.

A native of Portsmouth, she was a nutritionist at the Pines Treatment Center for 21 years. She was a past member of Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, and a graduate of I.C. Norcom High School, Portsmouth.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra DeBerry Skeeter and Sharren E. DeBerry, both of Portsmouth; mother, Dorothy Reid Smith of Portsmouth; four grandchildren, Angelina DeBerry Harrison, Sherri B. Skeeter, Leakesha D. Skeeter and Simone L. Skeeter, all of Portsmouth; three great-grandchildren, William Harrison III and twins, Shawn and Kaia Harrison, all of Portsmouth; a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her long-term companion, Curtis L. Hill.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Charles W. Beamon. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday. ILLUSTRATION: Personal photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
