JESSIE HAWKINS

Jessie Hawkins, formerly of Norfolk, passed away on July 18, 1997, at Montefore Hospital.

She attended and was educated in the Norfolk Public School System, Abraham Lincoln Elementary and Booker T. Washington High School. She was a former member of the New Hope United Church of Christ. She retired from The American Arbitration Association in New York as an office manager in 1996.

She leaves to mourn her mother, Mrs. Josephine Hawkins, and sister-in-law, Georgia Hawkins, both of Norfolk; a granddaughter, Janeeka Hawkins of Bronx; a niece, Mrs. Michelle H. Bovel of Manhattan, N.Y.; a nephew, Clarence Hawkins Jr. of Norfolk; an aunt, Virginia Perry of Franklinton, N.C.; and many other relatives and friends.

A homegoing service was held in the Bronx on Saturday, July 26, 1997. Interment was at St. Raymonds Cemetery, Bronx. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
