Jean Biernot, 73, of the 4300 block of East Road died Aug. 3, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Portsmouth.
Survivors include her husband, Luke Frank Biernot; two stepchildren, Darlene Morris of Beverly Hills, Fla., Luke F. Biernot Jr. of Virginia Beach; a sister, Cora E. Lewis of Portsmouth; three brothers, Thomas A. Sumner and his wife, Evelyn, William M. Sumner and his wife, Marian, George L. Sumner and his wife, Melissa, all of Portsmouth; six grandchildren; an aunt, Susie West; many nieces and nephews; several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Sister Bernice McCourt. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
