DOROTHY V. DOBSON

Dorothy Viola Dobson, 60, of the 1300 block of Old Clubhouse Road, died Aug. 4, 1997, in her residence. Mrs. Dobson was a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach. She was also a Sunday school teacher there. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Ralph Lee Dobson Sr.; her mother, Sophia Potler of Baltimore; her mother-in-law, R. Pearl Dobson of Cowen, W.Va.; two daughters, Denise Anne Almindinger and her husband, Jack, of Virginia Beach and Nadine Marie Riggs and her husband, Wayne, of Virginia Beach; son, Ralph Lee Dobson Jr. and his wife, Hae, of Columbia, S.C.; brother, Louis Potler and his wife, Pat, of Baltimore; two sisters, Mollie Lascola and Annette Kaub and her husband, Walter, all of Baltimore; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 3396 Stoneshore Road, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Ron Bearden.
