Vernon G. Schaefer
NORFOLK - Vernon George ``Slim'' Schaefer, 78, of the 5900 block of Monaco, passed away Aug. 3, 1997 in Lake Taylor Hospital.
He was a Lutheran by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Essie B. Schaefer; son, Bruce V. Schaefer of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; brother, Irvin Schaefer of Marysville, Kansas; sister, Valeda McCall of Odessa, Texas; and three grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk, by the Rev. Warren Chapman. Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
