Francis E. Mitchell, 92, died Aug. 5, 1997, in his residence.
Born in Elkland, Pa., he retired as supervising elementary principal of Beaver Falls, Pa., School System after 43 years and was past president of Beaver Falls Kiwanis.
Survivors include his wife, Effie Wynn Mitchell; a daughter, Nancy Mitchell John of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Michael W. Mitchell of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Robert M. John of Boston, Mass., Julie French of Knoxville, Tenn., David M. John of Chapel Hill, N.C., Abigail L. Mitchell of Virginia Beach, Jeffrey W. Mitchell of Virginia Beach.
A private memorial service was held. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
