Louis Anthony Jefferson, 85, of the 1500 block of Eagleton Lane died Aug. 6, 1997, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
A retiree from HRSA-ILA, he worked 26 years before retiring 22 years ago. He was a native of Gracetown, Va., and Virginia Beach. He was the widower of Magalene Jefferson and a member of the Fraternal Order of Masons. He was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Flora Mitchell of Norfolk and Edna Green of Virginia Beach; four sons, Floyd Land, Richard Jefferson, Alphonzo Jefferson and James Jefferson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Martha Gregory and William Jefferson.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Morning Star Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Williams. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park. Hale Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
