Police are investigating the death of a 23-year-old man whose body was discovered by his father in a field Friday afternoon.
Bomani Nadir was found dead about 5:40 p.m., his body partially obscured by weeds, in the field in the 1800 block of Tidewater Drive, close to his home.
The body was sent to the state Medical Examiner's office in Norfolk for examination to determine the cause of death.
Larry Hill, a police spokesman, said investigators have developed some significant information on Nadir's death, but for ``investigative reasons,'' he could not give details.
