JACK W. SELLARS

Retired U.S. Navy MLCM(SW) Jack Wayne Sellars, 63, of the 1500 block of Philmont Ave., died Aug. 7, 1997.

He was retired from the U.S. Navy and was a retired major from the Federal Police Force at the Naval Operations Base. During his naval career, he was selected for the Federal Sky Marshal Program and served as Sky Marshal for two years. He also was the All Navy Champion Decathlete and a member of the Police Association and Fraternal Order of Police.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Sellars; daughters, Pamela Hill and her husband, Samuel, Pollyanna Landreth and her husband, Bill, and Patti Turner and her husband, John, of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Viewing for the family and friends will be held today from 4 to 6 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. Funeral services and burial will be held in Waukegan, Ill.
