RALPH H. FLOYD

Ralph H. Floyd, 71, of the 6500 block of Hudson Ave. died Aug. 8, 1997.

A native of Rocky Mount, N.C., he was a supervisor retired from Camellia Foods Inc. with 32 years of service. He attended Heritage United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach, and was a member of V.F.W. Post 4809, Norfolk, and a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lois R. Floyd; daughter, Cheri L. Floyd of Norfolk; son-in-law, Larry J. Welcher of Charleston, S.C.; sister, Lucille Gray of Rocky Mount, N.C.; two brothers, Willis R. Floyd of Chesapeake and Richard S. Floyd of Florence, S.C.; godchild, Pat Kudsk of Chesapeake; and many nieces and nephews; and his companion, Princess.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount, by the Rev. Clark L. Mandigo. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today to receive the friend. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
