FLOYD SMITH

Floyd Smith, 90, of the 2000 block of Liverpool St. died Aug. 8, 1997, in a local hospital.

A native of Gloucester, he was the widower of Mattie Louise Smith and a retired carman for Seaboard-Coastline Railroad.

Survivors include two daughters, Uldine Hazelwood of Elkton, Md., and Alice Jean Beringer of Portsmouth; son, Floyd Smith Jr. of Portsmouth; sister, Thelma Garris of Portsmouth; and five grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m Tuesday in Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Damon E. Wyatt. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
