BRENDA A. TURNER

Brenda Ann Turner, 48, also known lovingly as ``BT'' to family and friends, departed this life on Aug. 9, 1997, to take her place in heaven with the Lord. She will be missed tremendously, but she has now found peace within the arms of God.

Born July 23, 1949, in Elgood, W.Va., she was a longtime resident of Norfolk. She was a good friend to all who knew and cared for her. She was a sales representative for Major Safety in Norfolk and had worked for S & K Sales Company prior to that. During the '70s and '80s she had actively participated in the NCAC Football League and NAS Little League in the Bayview area. She had been attending Colonial Heights Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Larry R. Turner; two sons, Michael L. Turner of Chesapeake and David Wayne Turner of Norfolk; mother, Naomi L. Sullenberger of Tunas, Mo.; a sister, Dreama J. Balbo of Chesapeake; a brother, David O. Hall of Waukegan, Ill.; and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Otis Hall.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by William H. Ferguson Jr., Minister, and Chris Amos. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Turner, Charles Turner, Jim Turner, George Turner, Scott Turner, Bill Fink and Tom Cooke.
