L. Clinton Jones Jr., 75, died Aug. 12, 1997, in his home.
He was a retired merchandise counselor with Smith and Welton and a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Mr. Jones was an Army lieutenant veteran of World War II and the son of the late Louis Clinton Jones Sr. and Mary Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Grace E. Jones; a daughter, Melinda Jones Wilson and her husband, Peter of Durham, N.C.; a son, Michael Allen Jones and his wife, Lisa, of Fairfax, Va.; a brother, T. Curry Jones of Edgartown, Mass.; five grandchildren, Matthew and Courtney Wilson and Lindsay, Kristen and Kevin Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in Emmanuel Episcopal Church by the Rev. Joy Walton. Burial will be in the church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Clinton Jones Memorial Fund at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 5181 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
