BENJAMIN F. VAUGHAN

Benjamin Franklin Vaughan, 76, of the 27000 block of Spivey Town Road died Aug. 13, 1997, in his residence.

A native of Isle of Wight County, Va., he was the widower of Mary Louise Lee Vaughan and a member of Colosse Baptist Church. He was a former trustee of the church and a member of the Adult Bible Class. He was also a member of Walters Ruritan Club and a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II. He was the son of the late Benjamin Allen Vaughan and Polly Coggin Vaughan.

Survivors include a son, Benjamin A. Vaughan of Windsor; longtime family friend, John R. Shearrin of Windsor; faithful caregiver, Dawn Burden of Windsor.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Colosse Baptist Church by the Rev. Lee Bowers with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the residence. Contributions may be made to the Colosse Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Harrell Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
