EX-PRINCE TO PERFORM AT COLISEUM AUG. 26

The summer concert season will get a much-needed shot in the arm Aug. 26 when The Artist Formerly Known as Prince performs at Hampton Coliseum.

Tickets costing $35 and $45 plus service charge will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m.; a limited number of gold circle seats will be available for $65. Sales are limited to four tickets for the gold circle and six for the others. The tickets will be on sale at the Coliseum box office or by calling 671-8100.

Currently on a ``Jam of the Year'' World Tour, TAFKAP has said he is eschewing the glittery, multimedia productions of previous tours to concentrate on his music.

One of the most charismatic performers in pop music, he has not played in Hampton Roads in years. In March 1993, he and the New Power Generation performed at the Mosque in downtown Richmond.
