RALPH J. WHITE JR.

Ralph Joseph White Jr., 73, passed away Aug. 14, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. White was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Norfolk, the son of the late Ralph J. Sr. and Catherine White. His memberships included: Christ the King Catholic Church; Roanoke Chowan Wildlife Club; and was a founding member of the Azalea Little League. He was a retired supervisor with Norfolk Southern Railroad and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include his loving wife, Virginia P. White; four sons, Ralph J. White III of Norfolk, Gary S. White of Virginia Beach, James E. White and Douglas E. White, both of Woodland, N.C.; three grandchildren, Christie L. White and James E. White, both of Virginia Beach, and Melissa White of Woodland.

A memorial service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, by Father Brian Rafferty. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 1290 Seminole Trail, Suite 2, Charlottesville, Va. 22901. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
