Thelma B. Butler, 83, of the 3800 block of Brighton St. died Aug. 14, 1997.
A native of Portsmouth, she was the widow of William H. Butler and a retiree from the Smith & Welton Department Store.
Survivors include three sons, William H. Butler Jr., Charles E. Butler Sr. and Edward T. Butler, all of Portsmouth; sister, Evelyn Smith of Portsmouth; brother, Robert Bristow of Chesapeake; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Allen L. Dooley. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
