SALLY B. SAUNDERS

Sally Butler Saunders, 69, of the 3300 block of Ocean Shore Ave., a former substitute teacher for Virginia Beach Public Schools, died Aug. 15, 1997, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Mrs. Saunders was a native of Pikeville, Ky. She was a graduate of Granby High School Class of 1945. She was a member of the Greenbriar Country Club and a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Virginia Beach.

Survivors include her husband, Oscar Bernard Saunders; a daughter, Helen S. Mundy of Chesapeake; three sons, Timothy A. Saunders of Virginia Beach, Andrew B. Saunders of Chesapeake, Mark C. Saunders of Virginia Beach; a brother, Daniel L. Butler of Williamsburg; and four grandchildren, Jennifer M. Saunders, Sarah E. Saunders, Kelly L. Saunders and Laura R. Saunders.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 18, at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Catholic Church by Fr. Daniel Klem. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk. The family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Laskin Road Chapel Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
