Dorothy Mitchell Meador, 76, of the 1800 block of Eunice Court, died Aug. 16, 1997.

A native of Roanoke, she was the widow of Carlisle ``Bill'' Meador and a member of First Baptist Church of Virginia Beach and the Egg Art Guild and was an accomplished artist.

Survivors include two sons, William C. Meador and Robert M. Meador, both of Virginia Beach; sister, Barbara Mitchell of Virginia Beach; and five grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Ted James. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. to receive friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests flowers be omitted and memorial contributions made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
