EDWARD W. LUPTON

Edward Windell Lupton, 61, of the 400 block of Newland Road, died Aug. 16, 1997, in Duke University Medical Center, Durham.

An estimator for Blair Brothers Construction Inc., he was a Hyde County native and a member and deacon of Ahoskie First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ahoskie.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Barnes Lupton; four daughters, Michele Vanwagner of Virginia Beach, Lisa Storms of Kentucky, Kim Journell of Roanoke and Angela Lupton of Roanoke; son, Edward Windell Lupton Jr. of Roanoke; mother, Beatrice Watson Lupton of Coinjock; three sisters, Loretta Suter of Eure, Gail Twiddy of Coinjock and Peggy Whitlow of Chesapeake; brother, Milton Lupton of Suffolk; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; two stepdaughters, Danita Davis of Roper and Drema Wiggins of Colerain, N.C.; four stepsons, Dale Sing of Roper and Gary Snead, Jessie Snead and Sammy Snead, all of Suffolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Ahoskie First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ahoskie, by the Revs. Lester Jarrett and Danny Harris. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the church, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
