Virginia Culpepper Franklin, 66, of the 3500 block of Floyd St. died Saturday, Aug. 16, 1997, in her residence.
A native of Portsmouth, she was retired from the Portsmouth Naval Hospital as a medical transcriber and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Glenwood W. Franklin Sr.; daughter, Pamela F. Brown of Chesapeake; son, Glenwood W. Franklin Jr. of Chesapeake; two sisters, Jean C. Benson and Vivian C. Jones of Portsmouth; and five grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Philip J. Parker. The family will receive friends in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
