CREW RESCUED AFTER U.S. NAVY HELICOPTER CRASHES IN GULF

A U.S. Navy helicopter crashed Saturday afternoon in the Persian Gulf. All four crew members were rescued.

The U.S. Fifth Fleet's central command in Bahrain said an inflatable boat from the guided-missile frigate Rentz, based in San Diego, retrieved the four sailors after their helicopter crashed into the sea.

One of the sailors was being treated for minor injuries, the Navy said.

The SH-60B helicopter from the Rentz went down while conducting routine operations, the statement said. The Navy is investigating the cause of the crash. KEYWORDS: ACCIDENT MILITARY ACCIDENT PLANE
