CBS news television producer Mark Katkov, center, and cameraman Page

McCarty interview Jen Jolin. Jolin, one of 31 women to enter as VMI

goes coed this fall, had back surgery a couple of months ago so that

a herniated disc wouldn't keep her from completing the physical

rigors the military college demands, especially of its first-year

students.

Incoming VMI freshman Jen Jolin, from rural Highland County, says,

``I can't wait to get there and get down to business.'' Jolin

figures her first year will be harder on her mother than on her.
