J. Matney ``Mat'' Davis, 71, died Aug. 9, 1997. A native of Marshallberg, N.C., he was a machinist at Norshipco and a Princess Anne Masonic Lodge member.
He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia C. Davis. Survivors include two sons, Craig F. and Barry C. Davis, both of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Foundry United Methodist Church. Donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to Foundry United Methodist Church in his name. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
