RALPH PAOLI JR.

Ralph Paoli Jr., 46, of the 3000 block of Tennessee Ave. was called to his eternal heavenly home on Aug. 16, 1997, after a very brief illness.

Mr. Paoli, originally from New York City, was predeceased by his father, Ralph Paoli Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife of nine years, Lydia Maria; his mother, Leonor Paoli of Wethersfield, Conn.; his sister, Ann Rowland, her husband, Dean, and their sons, Michael and James, all of Blossburg, Pa.; his sister, Beatriz Wardlaw, and her husband, John, of West Hartford, Conn.; his brother, William, and his wife, Robin, and their sons, Marcus and Luke, all of Wilmington, N.C.

Mr. Paoli was employed at the Naval Supply Station, NOB, for approximately 12 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War with 13 years of service in the Navy.

Mr. Paoli was beloved of his natural family and his church family. As a member of Christ Gospel Church, Virginia Beach, since 1981, he made an eternal impression upon his brethren for his willingness to serve, his faithfulness to duties large and small and his love for the house of God and for prayer. He was a kind, gentle man who truly lived his faith. He will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be at Christ Gospel Church, 5121 Indian River Road, today from 6 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Ted Richardson will conduct the funeral service at Christ Gospel Church at noon Wednesday. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Gospel Church Benevolence Fund, 5121 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23467. Affordable Funeral Services is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
