Shaniece L. ``Niece'' Pearson, 7, and Shavonne D. ``Vonnie Boo'' Pearson, 5, of the 2500 block of Hickory St., died Aug. 14, 1997, on I-85 North, Durham, N.C.
Shaniece was a second-grader at Mount Hermon Primary School, where she was an honor roll student and member of the Gifted and Talented program. Born in Portsmouth, she was also a cheerleader for the Mount Hermon Recreation League and a Girl Scout at New Bethel Baptist Church.
Shavonne was a pre-schooler at Mount Hermon Primary School and born in Portsmouth. She played T-ball for the Charles Peete Little League, was a cheerleader for the Mount Hermon Recreation League and a Brownie Scout at New Bethel Baptist Church.
Shaniece and Shavonne were members of Union Missionary Baptist Church, Shoulders Hill, Suffolk.
Shaniece was a member of the Children's Church, a youth usher and a Sunday School member. Shavonne was a member of the Children's Church and Children's Choir, a former youth usher and a Sunday School member.
Survivors include their father, Kenneth L. Pearson; paternal grandmother, Annie M. Pearson of Portsmouth; and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Union Missionary Baptist Church, Shoulders Hill, by C.V. Russell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Wednesday. The bodies will be taken to the church at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
