ALFRED N. FRYE

Alfred N. Frye, 65, of the 3000 block of Blitz Court, died Aug. 17, 1997, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

A native of Asbury Park, N.J., he retired from the New York State Department of Corrections and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was employed by Benta's Funeral Home for 15 years.

Survivors include his wife, Lavolia Frye; two daughters, Valerie Frye-Ramsey and Darlene Frye; son, Freddie Frye; three sisters, Louise P. Wigglesworth, Emily A. Frye and Elayne Rambert; three brothers, George R. Frye, William H. Frye Jr. and James M. Frye; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Serenity Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Steve Peacock. Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, Va. Viewing will be today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 3056 Blitz Court at 9:45 a.m. for the procession to the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
