James Thomas Baggett, 85, of the 2300 block of Holland Road died Aug. 19, 1997, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.
A retired bridge tender with Virginia Department of Transportation, he was a native of Nansemond County and a member of Church of God of Prophecy. He was the son of the late K.A. (Kenneth) Baggett and Annie Byrd Baggett.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Blanchard Baggett; brother, F.W. Baggett of Suffolk; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Revs. William Paramore and W.S. Kidd. Burial will be in Cedar Hill. Friends may join the family in Harrell Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times in the residence. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
