Frederick Rosser Gibson, 83, did Aug. 18, 1997.
He was a native of Portsmouth and a member of Broad St. United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Frances H. Gibson. He was a member of the Tidal Wave Masonic Lodge No. 273, Port Norfolk Royal Arch Chapter Portsmouth Commander No. 5, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies. In addition, he was very active in the Khedive Temple of the Shrine and the Portsmouth Shrine Club.
He is survived by an aunt, Mrs. Grace Johnson, and nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Loving Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Kathryn Pigg with Masonic rites. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
