VIVIAN B. WILLIAMS

Vivian Haddock Barnes Williams, 67, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 1997, in an Elizabeth City hospital.

Mrs. Williams was born in Bertie County, N.C., and was a bookkeeper. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kitty Hawk, N.C. Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Herman David Haddock and the late Mattie Jones Haddock and the wife of George Brooks Williams.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Melinda Barnes Dunn of Greenville, S.C.; stepdaughter, Linda Eggleston of Virginia Beach; three stepsons, Larry Williams of Virginia Beach, Ralph W. Carrington of Matthews County, Va., and Jerry Williams of Newport News; sister, Edna Doughtie; brother, Clifton Haddock of Kill Devil Hills; and five grandchildren; a niece, Davell Dunn of Aden, N.C., who was raised in the home.

A funeral will be conducted at First Baptist Church, Kitty Hawk, Thursday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Clinton Hardee. A visitation will be held at Twiford's Colony Chapel, also on Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Burial will take place in the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Morehead City, Friday at 1 p.m. with Mr. Al Krempel officiating.
