Ethel Mae Clark of the 1200 block of General Street died Aug. 18, 1997.

A native of Princess Anne County, she was the widow of Richard E. Clark, a homemaker and a member of New Light Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. She was also a member of the Floral Club, the Senior Citizens Organization and the Widows Club.

Survivors include a special nephew and niece, with whom she resided, Mr. Louis and the Rev. Mary C. Kimble; a sister-in-law; nine other nieces; three nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Friday in New Light Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Dr. Rudolph B. Lewis. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The remains will be ready for viewing Thursday at 3 p.m. The family will assemble at the residence for the processional at 11:30 a.m. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
