CORINE HODGES

Corine ``Big Mama'' Hodges, 60, formerly of Norfolk and a resident of New York for more than 30 years, died peacefully Thursday, Aug. 21, 1997, in New York City.

She was a native of Princess Anne County, the daughter of Willie Lee Grant and the late Helen Jones Dailey, and the widow of Frank Cummings. She was a past member of St. John AME, Davis Corner.

Survivors include a daughter, Routhine Herbert; a son, Thaddeus Hodges; a brother, Ira Lee Grant; and two grandchildren, Jerrell Jackson and Bessie Geneva Whitfield.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Riddick Funeral Service by E.H. Terrell. Burial will be in Jones Memorial Park. Viewing will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. in Riddick Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday and at other times at 2804 Myrtle Ave., the home of Pearl Ames. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
