Lillie S. Purvis, 81, died Aug. 21, 1997.
Mrs. Purvis was born in Franklin, Va., a daughter of the late Otis and Jennie Stewart. She attended the public schools of Franklin and was employed at Planters Manufacturing Co. for a number of years. She was a member of Third Baptist Church of Virginia. Upon moving to Florence, she became a member of Maxwell Baptist Church and then New Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Surviving are a brother, James (Vernetha) Stewart of Florence; and nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in New Ebenezer Baptist Church, Florence. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens with Ideal Funeral Parlor, Florence, in charge. The family will be receiving friends at 3603 Carroll Drive. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
