LEO C. SNEAD SR.

Leo C. Snead Sr., 80, of the 100 block of Porter Road, died Aug. 23, 1997, in his residence.

Born in Blairs, Va., and a retired insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., Mr. Snead was a member of Port Norfolk Baptist Church and an Army Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Ida C. ``Reanie'' Snead; a daughter, Lisa Ann Snead of Washington, D.C.; a son, Leo C. Snead Jr. of Richmond; a sister, Daphne Bailey of Danville, Va.; a brother, Rodney Snead of Danville; and a grandchild, Logan Tyler Snead of Richmond.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by Dr. Ector L. Hamrick. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
