Cedola Fant Smart Morton, 87, of the 1600 block of Old Donation Parkway, died Aug. 23, 1997.
She was born in Fort Washington, Md., and was the retired owner of B & M Shoe Shops. She was preceded in death by her husband, M. Vernon Smart, her parents, Elizabeth Carter Fant and Henry Byrd Fant, and a brother, Proctor L. Fant.
Survivors include a son, Jack Milton Smart and his wife, Jean Hobbs Smart, of Ojai, Calif.; four sisters, Cedelma Burton, Delphine Thompson, Ollie Richardson and Martha Brewer, all of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a brother, Wilson K. Fant of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Jody Baier of Ojai and Joel Smart of LaGrande, Ore.; six great-grandchildren, Dustin, Chase and Sean Baier, all of Ojai, Laura, Travis and Katelyn Smart, all of LaGrande, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Forsyth Memorial Park, Winston-Salem. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
