NORMAN L. MOORE

Norman Lee ``Cotton'' Moore, 75, of the 20300 block of Lake Point Drive, died Aug. 23, 1997, in McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond.

A native of The Plains, Va., he was retired from the Asplundh Tree Co. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, American Legion Post No. 41, a former member of the Isle of Wight Ruritan Club and a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. Mr. Moore had lived in Windsor since 1961.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Helen Hodge Moore; one daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Ronnine Hatfield of Suffolk; three sons and their spouses, Brad and Lisa Moore of Suffolk, German and Dee Moore of Windsor and Stewart Moore of Suffolk; two sisters, Marie Pullen of Chantilly, Va., and Lucy Fletcher of Fairfax; three brothers, Charles Moore and Foster Moore of Warrenton, and Andrew Moore of Manassas; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Terry Lee Moore; a sister, Susie Tharp; and a brother, Floyd Moore.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Smithfield, by the Rev. Ben Scoffield. Burial will follow in Woodland Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. and suggests memorial contributions be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2400 Holland Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434.
