PAUL O. FREEMAN SR.

Paul Orchie Freeman Sr., 57, of the 400 block of E. Gregory Lane, died Aug. 20, 1997, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Mr. Freeman was born in Virginia Beach. He was a member of St. Stephens COGIC, where he was a deacon, president of the Male Chorus, a Sunday School teacher and belonged to other church organizations.

He was married to Maude Freeman of Virginia Beach for 35 years. Other survivors include a daughter, Gina Freeman-Adamson of Virginia Beach; three sons, Paul Freeman Jr. and Walter Freeman, both of Virginia Beach, and Kerry Freeman of Germany; his mother, Mable Freeman; father, Charlie Freeman; two sisters, Blanch Mitchell and Grace Ford; four brothers, William Freeman, Jessie Freeman, Joseph Freeman and Raleigh Freeman; and 12 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Millie Turner and two brothers, Chester Freeman and Charles Edward Freeman Jr.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Stephen's COGIC, Beautiful St., Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends for visitation at P.G. Thomasson Funeral Services Inc. from 7 to 9 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
