Florence Tucker Futrell, 62, of the 400 block of N. Wynn St., died Aug. 23, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She was a native of Hertford County and a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, the Woman's Division of Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce, the Murfreesboro Historical Association and the Historical Properties Commission. Mrs. Futrell retired as a self-employed homemaker and bookkeeper.
Survivors include her husband, William C. Futrell; a daughter, Amy E. Futrell of Murfreesboro; three sons, William C. Futrell Jr. and wife, Karen, of Nashville, N.C., Charles E. Futrell and his wife, Denise, of Murfreesboro, Andrew S. Futrell and wife, Lauren, of Woodstock, Ga.; her mother, Fannie Mae Tucker of Murfreesboro; a sister, Faye Gaudette and husband, Roy, of Henrico, N.C.; two brothers, Harold R. Tucker Jr. and wife, Delphia, Wayne Tucker and his wife, Debbie, all of Murfreesboro; and four grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Murfreesboro Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, by Dr. Davis Smith and the Rev. Thomas Caulkins. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro.
