Thanks offered to supporters of firefighters' fund-raiser

On July 20, 1997, the Outer Banks Professional Fire Fighters Association held the sixth annual Outer Banks Truck Show. The totals are in and the show was another huge success.

This was possible, mainly, by the efforts of several people and organizations. The OBPFF would like to recognize and thank our sponsors. They are: the Nags Head Fire Rescue Volunteers, BLH Fire Protection, Coast Performance Center, Smith-Wright Equipment, Beach Motorsports, Grainger's Automotive Repair, T-Tops NASCAR Specialties, Golden Gears Automotive and Colony Tire Centers.

We would like to also thank Outer Banks Printing, Outer Banks Trophies and Awards and Island X Per Tees. Jim Terrell and the staff at Diamond Shoals Family Fun Park really went out of their way to help us with this year's show.

Most important, I would like to thank everyone who came out to the show, whether you were a contestant or spectator. The Outer Banks Truck Show was able to help two great organizations, the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 161, and the Outer Banks Professional Fire Fighters Association.

My deepest thanks to both organizations and everyone who made the show a reality.
