Raymond B. Mayfield, 75, passed away Aug. 24, 1997, at his home.
Mr. Mayfield was born Dec. 28, 1921, in Baltimore, the son of the late Stanislaw James Mayfield and Agnes Mayfield Shenton. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was a retired civil service employee.
Survivors include his loving wife, ``Billie'' Wilmuth Mayfield; daughter, Mary M. Goldrich; two brothers, Arthur Francis Shenton and Leroy Shenton; three sisters, Marion Emma Page, Maxine Edith Hensley and Charlotte Boston; and granddaughter, Lauren Goldrich.
Friends may visit at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, from 2 to 8 p.m. today.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Warren Chapman officiating. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
