LARRY NORMAN

Larry ``Slim'' Norman, 44, of the 1300 block of Westmoreland Court died Aug. 22, 1997, in his home.

A truck driver for Vico Construction Co. for serveral years, he was a Roper, N.C., native and a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. He was highly respected by his employer for several years.

Survivors include his wife, Lucretia Galindo Norman; daughters, Vera McNeal of Portsmouth, Quianta Tuggles of Plymouth, N.C.; stepdaughter, Tonya Grinston of Virginia Beach; stepsons, Rofelio Grinston of Jacksonville, Fla.; mother, Mrs. Marie Norman of Roper; sisters, Hattie Clark, Darlene Norman, Sharlene Norman; half-sister, Linda Norman; brothers, Raymond Norman, Silas Norman, Calvin Norman, Alvin Norman; half-brothers, Billy Simpson, Marvin and Gregg; grandchildren, Caron McNeal, Kerra McNeal; stepgrandchildren, Gabriel Grinston, Chavelle Grinston and Yassmin Grinston; and a host of other friends and relatives.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 1100 Church St., Norfolk. Interment will be in Roper. P.G. Thomasson Funeral Services Inc. is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
