Patricia A. ``Pat'' Palmer, 40, of the 900 block of Warfield Drive, died Aug. 23, 1997, on Highway 460, Sussex County, Va.

Born in Portsmouth, she was a member of New Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Portsmouth and a former member of New Central Baptist Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include a daughter, Angela P. Hicks of Portsmouth; her mother, Evelyn P. Palmer of Portsmouth; four sisters, Bertha P. Hall, Wanda L. Palmer, Karen Hunter and Andrea P. Sharpe, all of Portsmouth; six brothers, Frederick E. Palmer of Newport News, Edward J. Palmer III, of Youngstown, Ohio, Ronald E. Palmer of Colorado Springs, Colo., Eugene Palmer of Fairbanks, Ala., Edwin J. Palmer of Decatur, Ga., and Lewis A. Palmer of the Bronx, N.Y.; four aunts; three uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in New Mount Vernon Baptist Church by the Rev. Vernon S. Lee. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The body will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Thursday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
