COOKING SCHOOL ENDS WITH MAGICAL DESSERTS

CAN YOU believe this is the last week of Kids' Kitchen Summer Cooking School? We'll be ending the summer with magical desserts that everyone will want to try.

After you make a recipe from this column, be sure to have your parents sign all of your cooking forms and send them all in one envelope to Kids' Kitchen/Flavor Section, The Virginian-Pilot, 150 W. Brambleton Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia 23510.

If you have lost cooking forms, you can photocopy a form and write the correct week at the top of the form. Extra cooking forms can also be printed from the Fun! section of Pilot Online at the web address http://www.pilotonline.com

Be sure you include a form from each week of Kids' Kitchen.

If you registered in the first two weeks of cooking school and mail in all 10 completed forms, you will be mailed a special package containing a T-shirt and a certificate of participation. Envelopes must be postmarked by Sept. 5.

As a kitchen magician, work your magic with Fairy Cakes, Watch Them Disappear Apple Brownies or Sweet Dream Cookies. The magic of these desserts will become clear when you make them this week and in the future.
