ADA V. REDDECK

Ada Virginia Reddeck, 78, died Aug. 23, 1997, at the home of her daughter at 1240 Lake Point Drive.

Mrs. Reddeck was a native of South Mills, N.C., and was the daughter of the late George F. and Clara Belle Jones Steward. She was a bus driver for the Chesapeake school system for 13 years and later became an aide with the Social Services Department of Chesapeake for 20 years. She was a member of DeBaum Baptist Church and attended Atlantic Shores Baptist Church with her daughter and grandchildren. She was a founder of the Indian River and B.M. Williams Girls' Softball League.

She was the widow of Edward Perry Reddeck and was predeceased by a son, Cedric George Reddeck. Survivors include a daughter, Colleen Ellen Parker of Chesapeake; two sons, Charles Eric Reddeck and his wife, Cheryl Hadley Reddeck, of Chesapeake, Edward Perry Reddeck Jr. of Los Angeles; seven grandchildren, Stephanie Parker, Kristen Parker, Katherine Michelle Reddeck and Virginia Lee Reddeck, all of Chesapeake, Renee Reddeck, Jennifer Reddeck and Patrick Reddeck, all of California.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Jim Wolfcale. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Atlantic Shores Christian School, 1217 North Centerville Turnpike, Chesapeake, Va. 23320.
