Lillian R. Luper, 91, of Adkins Blvd. and formerly of Norfolk, died Monday, Aug. 25, 1997, at St. Dominic's Hospital of congestive heart failure and pneumonia. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 1980 and was a homemaker.
The former Lillian Rice was a native and longtime resident of Norfolk. She had been a resident of Jackson for the past 17 years and was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty L. Dupree Bearss of Jackson, Jerry L. Hancock of Virginia Beach; two sons, Buddy Luper of Jackson and William Luper of Summerton, S.C.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service well be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Wright and Ferguson Home, Ridgeland. Entombment will be in Trinity Mausoleum at Parkway Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Mid-Mississippi, Chapter 5295, Galaxie Drive, Jackson, Miss., 39206 or to Colonial Heights Baptist Church.
