LEROY RUBIN

Leroy Rubin, 77, formerly of Norfolk, died Aug. 25, 1997, in a West Palm Beach hospital.

A native of Norfolk, Mr. Rubin had retired as owner of Fabric Mart on Virginia Beach Boulevard after 38 years. He was a member of Temple Israel in Norfolk.

Mr. Rubin was a Shriner and a member of Masonic Lodge (NU)1. He was a former member of Temple Israel's Mens Club and B'Nai B'rith.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Mabo Rubin; two daughters, Toby S. Lehrman of Scottsdale, Ariz., Karen D. Ortner of Charleston, S.C.; a son, Carl M. Rubin of Alameda, Calif.; a sister, Ramona Brenner of Norfolk, Shirly Coplon of Richmond, Va.; and two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 1997, at Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Michael E. Panitz, Canter Emeritus Isaac Danker and Canter Yael Fischman.

The family will be sitting shiva at the home of Ramona Brenner, 7346 Ruthvan Road, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The National Parkinsons Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue, Miami, Fla. 33136. H.D.
