RALPH W. LEISTER

Ralph William Leister, 75, formerly of Beaufort, N.C., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997, in Mountain Area Hospice Center, Asheville, N.C.

Mr. Leister, a former civil service employee, retired from Cherry Point after 32 years of service.

Survivors include his daughters, Carol A. Biermann of Beaufort, N.C., Janet L. Franklin of Asheville, N.C; stepdaughters, Sue Shaffer of Manassas, Va., Johnnie Beachem of Virginia Beach, Erma Ueltschy of Peach Creek, W.Va.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wives, Mildred McKimmie Leister and Virgie Pake Leister.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Brooks Funeral Home and Crematory. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Gethsemane Memorial Park, Morehead City, N.C., with the Rev. William Rickman Pinner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, P.O. Box 16, Asheville, N.C. 28802. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
