ELMO HOUSE

Elmo House, 72, of the 2800 block of Bagley St. died Aug. 22, 1997, in Maryview Medical Center.

A native of Seaboard, N.C., he was a retired carman helper for Seaboard Coastline Railroad and CSX Railroad with 37 years of service. He was a former member of Seaboard Baptist Church, Seaboard, N.C.

Survivors include three sisters, Josephine E. Lewis of Suffolk, Agnes Garris of Chesapeake and Alice Radcliff of New Jersey; a niece; eight nephews; and a host of cousins, in-laws and friends and a devoted friend, Pauline Barnes.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Gregory Thomas. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon today. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
