Lauretta M. Smith of 3300 Head of River Road died Aug. 25, 1997.
Born in Norfolk County, she was the widow of Elisha Smith and a member of Gable Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Chesapeake.
Survivors include three sisters, Alfreeda Riddick and Celinda Foreman, both of Virginia Beach, and Penelope Fisher of Norfolk; a brother, Alston Griffin of San Bernardino, Calif.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Gable Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Burial will take place in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
