WILTON HOLMGREN

Wilton Holmgren of Virginia Beach went home to be with his Lord Friday, Aug. 29, 1997.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lee Holmgren; daughters, Svea Hunt of Arlington, Texas, Linda Jensen of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Jan Evans of Jackson, Ohio; stepsons, Michael Mathisen of Richmond, Barry Mathisen of Jacksonville, Fla., and Paul Mathisen of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Mavin Holmgren of Waitepark, Minn.; two sisters, Arline Skoog of Randall, Minn., and Helen Pesanen of Plymouth, Minn.; and 10 grandchildren.

Wil was a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother and friend. He left wonderful memories to treasure. Cmdr. Holmgren served his country for more than 27 years. He retired from the Naval service in 1970. He is a member of the Tidewater Retired Officers Association (TROA). He held the position of education specialist with Navy Campus at NOB, Norfolk and NAB, Little Creek until his retirement in 1987.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall Chapel. A church service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in Grace Bible Church. Interment will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
